What is the Youth Action Council (YAC)? YAC is an organized group of 13 young people who work  alongside YouthServe to execute the Community Action program!

What does the Youth Action Council do? YAC members will plan WorkDays, WorkCrews, and be peer leaders at events. They will assist in leading games, workshops, registration, and more. Members will also have an opportunity to learn about fundraising in the non-profit sector!  Click here to watch our video made by members of our Youth Action Council. 

Why is the Youth Action Council important? This is an enriching, hands-on, learning experience designed to get youth involved in their communities. YouthServe believes that youth involvement and leadership are integral to our programs. We want to encourage this involvement by getting youth to voice their opinions so that we can advocate and work together.
