Join us for these outstanding opportunities to serve your community! Remember, you must register in advance to participate, you must also bring a signed waiver (sent to you with your confirmation). Volunteers are always 13-18 unless otherwise noted as a “family” volunteer event. Spots go quickly, so don’t wait to sign up. If you get a place on the waiting list, we will notify you within 24 hours if we will have a space for you. Registration links will be live within one month of each event.

YouthServe is celebrating Global Youth Service Day by partnering with Hand in Paw for their 5k Mutt Strut. Youth volunteers will help with passing out water and directing/cheering runners and dogs as they finish the run. This event helps Hand in Paw with its mission to improve the health and well-being of children and adults by serving those with physical, emotional, educational, or psychological needs through interactions with professionally-trained Animal-Assisted Therapy Teams. Youth, 13 to18 years old can register here to volunteer. You will be emailed a waiver for a parent or guardian to sign. You must bring the signed waiver with you to the event. YouthServe is also celebrating Global Youth Service Day by partnering with Mitchell’s Place for a volunteer project at their school. Mitchell’s Place has a mission to provide comprehensive, researched-based, educational, social and therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities in a deeply caring environment. Youth volunteers will be helping with spring cleaning around the facilities that house their daily and summer programs. These classrooms are central to impacting the young students that take part in Mitchell’s Place programs. Volunteers will also gain valuable information about Autism and Mitchell’s Place.Youth, ages 13-18, must register here to attend. Check-in will start at 7:30a Saturday morning. Breakfast snacks will be provided. All registered youth will receive a waiver in an email for a parent/guardian to sign. This waiver must be brought to the check-in.
