Service Education

YouthServe’s Service Education program teaches interactive and fun workshops for grades 5, 7, 9 and 11.  Curriculum features lessons on community service as well as character building, allowing students to explore their roles in society. Students are directly involved in service projects in the classroom or at the schools, and raise awareness about community issues.

Service Learning Education is offered at no cost to schools in a number of Birmingham City and Jefferson County schools.  Volunteering for this program is not only rewarding in itself, but it helps develop important professional skills such as presentation, organization, and team-building. Volunteers can choose from a number of grades or schools according to preference.

Help a child or youth discover that they can make a difference, volunteer with us! If you are interested in joining our Service Education team, please contact us.
